I love a river… the way it’s always moving, always changing, always new. It’s never the same water flowing under the bridge. And yet there’s a constancy about a river; patiently winding its way through a land over thousands of years, fed by unseen springs. In John 7:38 in the New Testament of the Bible, Jesus said, “Whoever believes in me…out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” Jesus was referring to the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. What a captivating image… people believing in Jesus, empowered by His Spirit, producing rivers of living water! God has marvelously created us and placed within each of us, a wealth of potential. What rivers of living waters are yet untapped, waiting to be discovered, explored, and released to bring help and healing to those around us? The purpose of this blog is to encourage and inspire you through the telling of stories. And who knows; maybe a dream that was long ago put on a shelf will be reawakened in you. God’s lavish grace and deep mercy are available to us right now, He is the One who makes the impossible become realities, and He is the source of the endless river!
